Italian-Spanish singer-songwriter, Fabio Gòmez was born in Bern, Switzerland, and began his musical career in the Amazing Grace Gospel choir in Lugano. He attended New Gospel seminars in Germany, Switzerland and in Chicago, USA, with Calvin Bridges and Cynthia Nunn, while studying in Milan and Rome.
He took part in the Castrocaro Festival, the Sanremo Academy and was finalist in the 2010 Mia Martini Prize with the unreleased (original) track: Cercando L'immenso.
In 2015 Fabio met Piero Cassano who supervised the artistic direction of his first worldwide album of original songs entirely written and composed by the young singer-songwriter. The tracks were recorded in Milan, Bari and Madrid, with collaborations by such famous artists as: Lele Melotti, drummer for Mina and Vasco Rossi; Ludovico Vagnone, lead guitarist of Alejandro Sanz, Miguel Bose ', Andrea Bocelli, Laura Pausini, Pablo Alboran; Red Canzian, bassist and singer in the band ‘Pooh’.
The arrangements of the various songs were been edited by the band ‘Matia Bazar’.
In April 2016, the single IN RITORNO DA TE was released, followed by NIENTE E’ IMPOSSIBILE - NOTHING IS IMPOSSIBLE, an album containing 7 songs. It was distributed to all worldwide music platforms, and CDs were printed.
Press: meanwhile, the publication of this album caught the attention of the Swiss free newspaper "20 Minuten", which is distributed on all means of public transport in Switzerland, as well as in clubs and public places – an article about the artist and his album was published on the front page and in the insert.
The team decided to immediately launch a new single, NIENTE E’ IMPOSSIBILE - NOTHING IS IMPOSSIBLE, which lent its name to the album. A video clip was shot entirely in Fabio’s hometown of Bern, directed by Roberto Cancellara, who won first prize in the "fiction film" category at Montecatini Film Festival. Some of the scenes were shot inside the "Kornhause", a historical symbol of Bern and a UNESCO heritage site.
The artist interrupted his 2017 interview tour of Italian and European radios when he was offered an exciting opportunity: Red Ronnie invited him to Casa Sanremo during the famous song festival. There, he performed on the SKY wave broadcast, paying homage to Luigi Tenco with "Vedrai, vedrai", accompanied by the internationally renowned guitarist Fausto Mesolella, lead guitarist for the band ‘First Avion Travel’.
Fabio is a champion in the fight against violence against women and is engaged on different fronts and social campaigns: he inaugurated a UN symbolic bench "Orange the World" and performed at the Social Theater of Sondrio.
In 2018 he was a guest at the Sanremo Academy "SANREMO AREA" in the CASA SIAE pavilion, where he sang his original song YARI, in collaboration with RED CANZIAN of the ‘Pooh’.
In 2020 he met Marco Zangirolami, renowned musician, producer, composer, arranger and sound engineer on the Italian music scene. He has many prestigious collaborations to his name: Fedez, J AX, Elisa, Emis Killa, Fabri Fibra, Jake La Furia, Marracash, Mahmood, Guè Pequeño, Salmo, Sfera Ebbasta and many more.
Together they decide to produce an International un album along with Peggy Johnson, who adapts Fabio’s original lyrics into English versions, while the Spanish versons are written by Mila Ortiz, who collaborates with the most important Italian artists such as Eros Ramazzotti, Laura Pausini, Bocelli, Il Volo, Tiziano Ferro, Emma and many more.
Fabio has decided to bring forward the launch of his new single ‘OVER’ - in fact it will come out in May during the Covid crisis, because the lyrics seem to have been written specifically for this moment: they talk about how to overcome a difficult moment and come out stronger over on the other side. OVER is also the name of the album which will soon come out, with versions also in Italian and Spanish: OLTRE and SIEMPRE. The video for OVER was entirely filmed in New York, USA, by Roberto Cancellara and Beka Virtue, under the supervision of Mila Ortiz, and it will be launched on all worldwide music platforms as well as on YouTube.
